Paneer Handi Lazeez
Serves: 4 nos.
Cooking time: 1 Hour
Ingredients:
- Kagome Tomato Puree 1 cup
- Paneer 500 gms
- Powdered turmeric 1/2 tsp
- Garam masala powder 1 1/2 tsp
- Water as required
- Ginger paste 1 tbsp
- Garlic paste 1 tbsp
- 2 bay leaves
- 3 cardamoms
- Cumin seeds 1 tsp
- Chilli powder 1 1/2 tsp
- Chopped coriander leaves 1 1/2 tbsp
- Desi ghee 4 tbsp
- Chopped onions 250 gms
- Beaten yoghurt (curd) 1/2 cup
- dairy rich cream 2 tbsp
Instructions:
- Add ghee in a handi; when the ghee is heated add cumin and other whole spices.
- Now stir in the chopped onions on medium flame, when done, reduce the flame to low. Add ginger garlic paste and chilli powder, garam masala and mix well.
- Add the Kagome Tomato Puree and green chilli and cook on low flame for about 10 minutes.
- Add half cup beaten curd and cream, cook till dry, before adding salt. Add half cup water and bring to a boil.
- Mix in the paneer and chopped coriander, cook till the masala dries.
- Serve in a large bowl and sprinkle coriander leaves over the dish.
