Paneer Handi Lazeez

Serves: 4 nos.

Cooking time: 1 Hour

Ingredients:

  • Kagome Tomato Puree 1 cup
  • Paneer 500 gms
  • Powdered turmeric 1/2 tsp
  • Garam masala powder 1 1/2 tsp
  • Water as required
  • Ginger paste 1 tbsp
  • Garlic paste 1 tbsp
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 3 cardamoms
  • Cumin seeds 1 tsp
  • Chilli powder 1 1/2 tsp
  • Chopped coriander leaves 1 1/2 tbsp
  • Desi ghee 4 tbsp
  • Chopped onions 250 gms
  • Beaten yoghurt (curd) 1/2 cup
  • dairy rich cream 2 tbsp

Instructions:

  1. Add ghee in a handi; when the ghee is heated add cumin and other whole spices.
  2. Now stir in the chopped onions on medium flame, when done, reduce the flame to low. Add ginger garlic paste and chilli powder, garam masala and mix well.
  3. Add the Kagome Tomato Puree and green chilli and cook on low flame for about 10 minutes.
  4. Add half cup beaten curd and cream, cook till dry, before adding salt. Add half cup water and bring to a boil.
  5. Mix in the paneer and chopped coriander, cook till the masala dries.
  6. Serve in a large bowl and sprinkle coriander leaves over the dish.
