Ingredients:

250g paneer, cut into cubes

Kagomes’ Crushed Tomato

1 large onion, finely chopped

2-3 green chilies, finely chopped (adjust according to your spice preference)

1-inch piece of ginger, grated

3-4 garlic cloves, minced

1/4 cup fresh coriander leaves, chopped

1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds

1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder

1 teaspoon red chili powder (adjust to taste)

1 teaspoon ground coriander

1/2 teaspoon garam masala

2 tablespoons oil or ghee

Salt to taste

Water as needed

Instructions for Paneer Tomato Curry:

  1. Heat oil or ghee in a pan or kadai over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
  2. Add the finely chopped onions and sauté until they turn translucent and lightly golden to ensure beautifully caramelized onions that deliver a sweet and smooth flavor.  
  3. Stir in the grated ginger and minced garlic. Continue sautéing for another minute until the raw smell disappears.

  8. Sprinkle garam masala and chopped coriander leaves over the curry. Mix gently so as to not break the cubes of paneer.
